We first opened our doors in 1977. Back then, we were a small gift shop amongst many other stores on Eastern Sydneys leafy Anzac Parade. But as word spread, the store grew, and we moved across the road into our current home, formerly an old cinema.

Now, more than thirty years on, Peters of Kensington has become a Sydney institution.

Peters of Kensington remains what it always has been – a family owned and operated, Australian company.

For decades, Peters of Kensington remained Sydneys best-kept secret. In the year 2000, all that changed, with the launch of our website.

These days, thousands of people all over Australia visit our famous big pink building in Kensington without even leaving their homes. What makes us different? We stock all the biggest brands in homewares, kitchenware, dinnerware and more.
